Word of the day

Today's word of the day was finish. Players said that finish meant to "do something until the job is done" and "complete". Other players said finish is to "go all the way through". The word of the day is a feature that we will use throughout the year with our student-athletes.

As a teacher and a coach I feel that it is important that we use best practices that help our student-athletes learn efficiently. At the end of practice we have a turn and talk which promotes players to engage with each other in constructive conversation. Often as adults we forget that even the art of communication needs to be practiced by kids (and adults).

The word of the day yesterday was accountability. Ask your player what accountability means to them. Thank you again for trusting us with your children as we help them develop skills that they will take with them onto the football field and life!
